FAQs

How much food and alcohol are served on a tour?

With 5+ stops on our food tour, we aim to serve you enough that you will leave satisfied, but not too full for dinner later. Our brewery tour includes a beer tasting. Non-alcoholic beverages are offered for those guests who do not drink or are under the age of 21. PLEASE BRING PROPER ID or the establishments will not be able to serve alcohol to anyone who looks to be under the age of 35.

What if I have food allergies or other dietary restrictions?

We will do our best to accommodate your dietary needs, however, some stops may not be able to accommodate such requests. Most stops can accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan. We cannot modify for food some allergies. Please make sure to speak with your tour guide BEFORE the tour starts about allergies.

How much walking will we do and should we bring our own drink?

Food tours are between 3.5 and 4.0 hours, and cover 1.5 miles on flat terrain, with full accessibility and plenty of bathrooms available. Most stops are seated and water or a drink is provided at each stop.

Do you allow children and pets on the tours?

Children are welcome on our tours, however, you are the best judge as to how much walking, sitting in restaurants, and listening to historical information your child would enjoy. Any child that eats must pay full price for a ticket. We do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to attend a tour without an accompanying responsible adult 25 years or older in attendance. Unfortunately, due to restaurant restrictions, we cannot accommodate any pets other than service pets.

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

Yes. Our walking food and history tour groups operate with limited space - 16 max per food tour. Reservations for a specific date and tour are made when you purchase tickets. All ticket sales are handled through the link on this website. We are unable to accept walk-up guests. Tours generally sell out fairly quickly so purchasing tickets well in advance is advised.

What is your cancellation policy and Are tickets refundable?

If cancellation is made at least 48 hours in advance, we will refund the total ticket price.

What should I wear and what happens if it rains?

Unless there is imminent danger due to winds or lightning, our tours continue to operate rain or shine. Please bring appropriate outerwear, make sure you are dressed comfortably and are wearing comfortable shoes (high heels are not recommended). Although we will not be in direct sun for the majority of the tour, the Florida sun can be intense and we recommend that everyone protect themselves by wearing sunscreen and/or a hat.

Do the tours start and end at the same place?

No, but the end is near the starting point and an easy walk back, if you have parked a car. You will receive information as to your specific meeting place within the 48 hours prior to your tour.

Does the ticket price include gratuities?

Each server or bartender along the way is tipped by the tour guide. If your tour guide has provided you with an entertaining and informative experience, a gratuity is greatly appreciated. The standard gratuity for a local tour guide is 18% to 20% of the ticket price.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, and we would love to meet your friends! More info

Can we shop during the tour?

We do not include extra time for shopping during the tour, but our vendors invite you back and some offer discounts, post-tour.
